Editorial comment. Our first event has come and gone in an amazingly short space off time, if this is how 2004 is going to be we are going to have one blazingly fast year. Hopefully the coffers will fill up at the same rate! The 9 or maybe 10 events will take a lot out of our organisers and their families and I wish them all the best for the year. VASBYT! |

Chairman's Report Back. WOW! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that such a great bunch of people would want me to be Chairman! But on the other hand one would not want to be of service to a greater organization and folk than BORC! So my thanks to one and all for the privelige you have bestowed on me for this year, you guys sure know how to keep a bloke out of mischief! I truly believe that this is going to be the year we see a lot things happen at our club. Several projects are being planned that will all ensure more convenience to all members and at the same time will become a source of income if run properly. The bottom line is that what we plan to do is always for the benefit of the riders who in most cases are the kids! Some projects are a new Club Facility to service the Flat track section but this will also be used for MX events, Electrification will also mean we can have decent Club Evenings and run events without having to pay for fuel as well as the trouble to arrange for sufficent generators. We also hope to be able to improve the water situation over time as well. The tractor issue will also be looked into as without a tractor we are dependent on others to keep out tracks in good condition. At the same time I would ask all members to keep their ears to the ground for bargains that may benefit the club, sometimes a club member may be in a better position to spot a possible opportunity than a committee member. Building materials and suchlike items will be accepted with relish! As too events... what can I say,we have Nine and may even get a ten'th, I sure as heck will do my best to see that we get the final MX regional here in Bloem! We will end off the MX year with a big bang! Delaying the annual Guy Fakwes will be worth it I believe, just to show the other clubs how we do things! Special thanks for our outgoing Chairman Wimpie Vermeulen, Johan de Bruin and the quad squad getting the Flat Track up and running in such a short time, we hope that the next events will just get better and better. So with that I want to thank each and every member as well as my committee team members all the best for 2004. I also want to thank all our sponsors for their generous donations in cash and kind. A special page with their addverts will be created on the website. |
