Editorial comment.

Hectic... What can I say, here we are in August already and so much has happened. Folks we need contributions from members, this is not a one man show!

Some of our riders were involved in accidents the last few months, not all in the saddle of a bike/quad though. BMX bikes should be banned! Tyson we hope to see you back on the track later this year. Meiring is weer op die been en het weer begin oefen en ons will hom ook gelukwens met sy vordering met Carting, bly om te sien hy dat nie bang is om soms die grond aan te durf op vier wiele ook nie! Our Quad Squad also had a few mishaps and we hope the casualties all recover fully from their flips/rolls/wipeouts.

The Flat Track section has got off to a flying start with quite a number of new members as well as a string of pits being erected, or shall we say mansions? (Remember folks.... if the height exeeds 10m you have to have red lights fitted, otherwise our aviation neighbours down the drag will complain!)

Jokes aside it is great to see so many dirt enthusiasts enjoying the facilites these days.

We also want to ask for photographic contributions of past events for publishing on the website, digital photos can be e-mailed to the webmaster and photos can be loaned for scanning as well. We also hope you all like the new look headline banner on the website pages. The website has also received a Golden Web Award recently. RC

Report Back

Some quad members have also been added to the committee: Johan de Bruin, Willie Otto, Kiewiet Venter and Andrew Michelle.

Wekom by die span, BORC kan net baat vind met julle insette en van krag tot krag gaan!

Once again we want to than everyone involved with our Regionals in Febuary and May, Febuary's one was a stunning success and we even made a few Rand! Die Streeksbyeenkoms 10 Mei was ongelukkig nie so suksesvol weens die lae inskrywings en die diefstal van 'n generator. Hopelik gaan ons dit opmaak met die volgende paar byeenkomste wat binnekort plaasvind.

The FS Flat Track Challenge on the 21'st of June was a great day, one more is planned for this year. More events of this kind will be organised for 2004, at this stage we are planning to host 6 events in a Free State Regional Championship series, details are being thrashed out and we should have dates by sometime in November hopefully. Results have been posted on the website and notice board.

The Naledi Offroad held on the 19'th July 2003 was once again a great success thanks to AJ du Plessis, Richard Moolman and their team of helpers that assisted with preperations. Their time and effort is greatly appreciated. Thanks also to Barry Burger for his contribution as COC and the Naledi Sun management. The results have been posted on the website and notice board.

A cellphone has been recovered at the track, anyone that may have lost one can contact Wimpie Vermeulen at 083 626 5966
